Black C-3PO

29 10 2011

Found this on Funny or Die, thought I would share it with you.

During the re-release of the original Star Wars movies to Blu-Ray, George Lucas had been toying with the idea of having a “more modern, urban sounding” C-3PO. This was the result.

This C-3PO Swimsuit Lets You Hit the Beach in Geeky Style

The C-3PO swimsuit will definitely make you yearn for warmer weather. Based on the ‘Star Wars’ character of the same name, this geeky piece of swimwear will definitely catch plenty of stares.

Undeniably cute, the C-3PO swimsuit takes on both the colors and the designs of the otherworldly robot, adorning golden outlines and clean cuts. See this interesting C-3PO swimsuit along with its partnering R2-D2 swimsuit in the featured gallery.

C-3PO Samurai???

Japanese Samurai C-3PO

Taken from Samurai Wars “Chiapo” — Samurai Wars is a line of custom figures that imagines what a Star Wars movie directed by Akira Kurosawa would look like. George Lucas has said what a fan he is a Kurosawa and also the influence that Kurosawa’s “The Hidden Fortress” had on Star Wars. At the bottom of the page is a fake write up that I did for a convention that claims this is a real movie.

Chipao / C-3PO

For 3PO I went with a tall and lean body type. I used various browns and yellows for his golden color. I tried to capture 3PO’s stuffy demeanor with the arm pose. The golden disc is representative of 3PO’s stomach disc, and the black sash would be his exposed wires.

I really enjoyed this and thought I would share it with the rest of the C-3PO fan base… see the rest of the characters here:

C-3PO & R2-D2 Shoes by Adidas

6 09 2010

As you all probably are aware, Adidas put out a line of Star Wars oriented clothing and shoes… but they left out two key characters, those being C-3PO and C-3PO.

In an article found on

After releasing something like 13 different sneakers together this year, you may have been wondering why George Lucas and his Star Wars brand failed to honor R2 D2 and C-3PO in their collection with adidas Originals. Having put together shoes for many of the staple characters, bots and ships part of the Star Wars empire, we were in question as to why there was nothing honoring the robotic friends. As it turns out they weren’t forgotten, they were just held over for the continuation of the Star Wars x adidas Originals set to launch in the coming months. To pay tribute to the two galactic buddies, adidas and Star Wars produced a Top Ten Low using a 50/50 split with representation of R2 D2 on the outer side of the upper and C-3PO on the inner side. Graphics of both characters are also split between the tongue tags. According to Freshness, the sneakers are set to launch sometime in September. Galactic Empire State of Mind

10 08 2010

Although this video is not specific to C-3PO, we are going to let it slide this one time, because it is so worth showing you this video. C-3PO does make an appearance (42 sec & 1min 20sec), and busts a move. If you haven’t seen it yet now is your chance. This video is a parody on Jay-Z’s New York State of Mind. Also, if your lady friend isn’t a Star Wars fan, this song could help her get the jist of the story line! So sit back and enjoy!
