Black C-3PO

29 10 2011

Found this on Funny or Die, thought I would share it with you.

During the re-release of the original Star Wars movies to Blu-Ray, George Lucas had been toying with the idea of having a “more modern, urban sounding” C-3PO. This was the result.

C-3PO & R2-D2 Shoes by Adidas

6 09 2010

As you all probably are aware, Adidas put out a line of Star Wars oriented clothing and shoes… but they left out two key characters, those being C-3PO and C-3PO.

In an article found on shoepimps.com

After releasing something like 13 different sneakers together this year, you may have been wondering why George Lucas and his Star Wars brand failed to honor R2 D2 and C-3PO in their collection with adidas Originals. Having put together shoes for many of the staple characters, bots and ships part of the Star Wars empire, we were in question as to why there was nothing honoring the robotic friends. As it turns out they weren’t forgotten, they were just held over for the continuation of the Star Wars x adidas Originals set to launch in the coming months. To pay tribute to the two galactic buddies, adidas and Star Wars produced a Top Ten Low using a 50/50 split with representation of R2 D2 on the outer side of the upper and C-3PO on the inner side. Graphics of both characters are also split between the tongue tags. According to Freshness, the sneakers are set to launch sometime in September. What Would C-3PO Do?

12 07 2010

A new blog added to the universe of C-3PO, titled “What Would C-3PO Do?”

The purpose of this blog is to set up some hypothetical situations, and place C-3PO in that situation, and to discuss how he would react in the given situation.

This blog has a good premise and is showing some promise, we will see where it goes from there. I am excited to see where it goes, and sheds some more of the spotlight on the golden protocol droid!

I was surfing around on the Internets and came across a rather interesting find, a site devoted to Star Wars related Jewelry.

C-3PO Backpack (revisited) Makes for World’s Most Obnoxious iPad Case

12 05 2010

I was surfing around, and I was impressed to see the popularity of the plush C-3PO backpack increasing significantly. I was also impressed to see it written about in the same conversation holding a negative note towards apple’s ipad. Here is a direct copy of the article found at: http://gizmodo.com/5537022/c+3po-backpack-makes-for-worlds-most-obnoxious-ipad-case

The best moment of the Star Wars trilogy was when C-3PO was nearly destroyed. Now you can commemorate that moment with the pleather C-3PO backpack.

Just like in the film, the robot isn’t all that useful—he comes with a mesh bag that’s basically only good for carrying himself along with any of his loose appendages. However, you can stuff his cavity with small objects—the iPad appears to be about the max payload—in a manner I like to imagine to be quite painful. When you’re done with the backpack, C-3PO can be reassembled in full as a 3-foot plush toy.

I still think it is a cool backpack, and I strongly suggest you get one. Especially if you have $500 to throw away on an over sized ipod touch, I think you should have this great collectors item to carry it in.

This is the most amazing addition to the C-3PO fashion category, and an exciting addition to school day fashion. I want one for sure, and I think you should force your kids to rock it as well, if they don’t like C-3PO… tell them this is as close to being Chewbacca as they can get before college. HA!

A post I found at:

A user wrote about a C-3PO backpack, so I had to share this. he post is located here: http://www.ohgizmo.com/2010/02/24/star-wars-c-3po-and-boba-fett-backpacks-make-me-wish-i-could-go-back-to-grade-school-again/
